Business / Website Summary

Introduction of Website's (STILL BEING REVISED AND IMPROVED) Design, Domain, Traffic, Ranking, Submission, etc.: Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Stephanie Sharp, a young, intuitive, up and coming self-employed photographer with a Bachelor of Science and Literature Degree. I currently work as a Real Estate Agent and Buyer’s Administrative Assistant with a RE/MAX office in Arkansas, and I have developed a small personal business site promoting myself as a photographer and my photographs via the Tripod Team’s Professional Plan of a simple $8.95 per month (http://www.tripod.lycos.com/). I also have a Lycos Mail Membership (member name is stephaniecj2) that offers great mail products and services such as: • Help Stop Spam! - Lycos Mail has achieved renowned success with our spam filter system. Choose the level of protection you want under Options and always think twice about who you provide your address to. • Automatically retrieve email from other email accounts - Retrieve your email from your Internet service provider (ISP) with ease. With “Check other Email” you only need your Lycos Mail account to manage all of your external email accounts. • Import your address book! Keep your addresses in the Lycos Mail address book and access them anytime, any place. • Personalized Signature Set up your personal signature in the "Options" section for your outgoing messages. The website has been given the name of ‘Memories and Beyond’. The site is set up with HTML Frames (due to the layout of site images) as well as a Trellix site map that is used to direct viewers to different areas of the site (this map is simply an option that can easily be turned off). On my home page, I recommend onlookers (for proper site viewing) to set the Display Screen Settings (found in the Settings tab of the Display properties under your Control Panel) to 1024x768 pixels or higher. With this display setting, the site looks beautiful and very well laid out. This is info that should be incorporated into the site description. Given the layout of the site, the incorrect display size can offset the pictures, disabling the viewer from feeling the full extent of each photo’s message. In addition, I also recommend not viewing the site with any other windows open (Favorites, Side Toolbars, etc.) and make sure to have the site page fully maximized. Variations in monitor size can also be a factor. I am still in the process of trying to enable error-free browsing when viewing the site as well as ironing out any kinks. I am strictly the author and creator of the site, and it is the first one that I have ever successfully created, or one with which I feel to have the ability to prosper. However, I am sure that these issues can easily be squared away. There are a lot of people that are a little more computer savvy than I am. The value of this site, however, will strictly lie within the images portrayed. I also use a personal hotmail account for my website (memoriesandbeyond@hotmail.com) which is used to receive mail pertaining to maintaining, upgrading, keyword popularity, optimization, site inquiries as well as site updating details and designs. I am currently updating my keyword content to maximize site popularity. My Domain Name is memoriesandbeyond.com (registered through Melbourne IT) and my URL is http://stephaniecj2.tripod.com. The account number will be provided as well as further file management instructions of the site (managing and uploading files) upon completion of site purchase. My established and unique website entitled ‘Memories and Beyond’ (name currently not trademarked) consists of original images of my own work that define their own characteristics as they challenge the viewer to read into the messages conveyed. With all that these photos describe, each idea will be sketched in memory as the opportunity to own such images are presented in various forms such as Postcards, Greeting Cards, Magnets, Address Labels & T-shirts. The site also offers opportunities for Sketch Images that ‘exemplify the artistic drafts of what have become still drawings, freezing the reactions of children and young adults who have placed themselves in a world of complete innocence and blissful happiness‘. I have taken some of my most favorite photos and have digitally transferred these images into sketches of artwork. The site even offers opportunities for any personal photos of consumers to be transformed into sketch images created digitally via the Adobe Photoshop (Adobe Software included). I have spent the last year of my life (since January 26, 2004) compiling my own personal works of art into an electronic format that I could use to expand my work to not only those in my surrounding areas, but also those on the outer parts of the world. “The Internet has brought about an undeniable shift in how business is conducted. Unlimited information, instantaneous communication, and a market more vast than anything before have become available to both massive conglomerates and small home businesses“-WebCMO http://www.webcmo.com/report/opss1/report1.htm. Up until about a month ago, I had literally worked consistently on creating this website to a certain point of satisfaction for myself. Until this particular point, I hadn’t submitted the site to any particular search engines. As a matter of fact, for consumers who had linked onto my site prior to any search engine submissions, I had specifically stated on my website that (as far as sales go) I was not accepting any orders at this time. I wanted to test my merchandise and make sure that everything was up to par before I actually began selling and distributing any of my products. I have recently opened the site up to receiving orders, but there are still a lot of loose ends that I am slowly but surely trying to take care of. Examples are Image Thumbnail Viewers or Photo Converters that could be beneficial in utilizing such codes for my 'Sketch' and 'Photo Albums'. As is currently, when a viewer clicks on an image, the page is redirected to a 'page that can not be found'. Such websites in assisting with situations as such are http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/thumbnail2.htm or http://www.softdd.com/thumbnailer/index.htm. I was also going to leave it up to the prospective buyer as to whether a thumbnail-sized preview of the website would be appropriate or not when the website search profile was pulled up. Owner's discretion is advised.

Reason For Selling

Site is currently being sold ‘As is’. No refunds will be given. I can not guarantee success from this website. The potential profit/success is determined by many factors. As a photographer, I have recently registered some of my photos with picture.com, shutterpoint.com and zazzle.com to allow me the opportunity of receiving royalty percentages for any products purchased through the use of any of my images. However, each photograph on or currently purchased through the www.memoriesandbeyond.com website and/or any online auction (e-Bay, etc.) is the property of myself, Stephanie Sharp (photographer and developer). The images are currently for sale via myself and are not intended for resale or reproduction. The images are protected by United States and International Copyright Laws (via possession of original print negatives). These images are not freeware. It is illegal to reproduce, copy, alter, distribute, use on another website, or publicly display any of these images, whether whole or in part. It is illegal to use any of these images as a reference for another photograph or as base of an illustration. All rights reserved-Memories & Beyond Copyright © 2004 (Stephanie Sharp). In addition to these affiliations, I have linked my site to those of Photography relation without prior permission (Black and White World, AGFA-The B&W Lab Course, Masters of Photography and a Manual Minolta Ad). I risked the liability, but I strongly urge the buyer to check into the copyright liability that comes with linking such sites to the website. I don’t believe it would cause any harm, but the legal responsibility as well as the accountability is still there. What I am in the process of doing is trying to begin a small business that may, in some part, become a great asset for myself. In doing so, I have taken the liberty of fully setting up the site with the idea in mind that I could do everything in-house. I am a ‘one man’ job, which in essence can keep expenses low, yet, unfortunately, responsibility on myself very high. Obviously, I would need to locate a business that handles the printing of such material, and, as a result, I had initially established a relationship with VistaPrint which offers full service graphic design and printing to cover the processing of my Greeting Cards, Postcards, Address Labels and Magnets. Through VistaPrints free account setup, you can create a portfolio of saved ordered documents that would be processed only through them. Upon order receivables, I would be responsible for placing the order through VistaPrint for any printing of the site products. The ‘Order Form’ used for site purchases was configured upon the total amount of cost that would cover the printing process for the order via VistaPrint, sales tax, shipping costs for shipment first sent to me (so that the order can be approved) and then sent to the consumer along with a letterhead from myself thanking them for their business, which in essence averaged out to about a $10.00 profit for myself on each individual order. Of course, as stated before, all of this can be adjusted accordingly to better equip the new owner's needs, wishes and ideas. All information will be provided by me upon closing of site purchase. As with every person who develops his/her own business, the overall aspect of the business, aside from self-gratitude, is to make a profit. Coincidentally, after careful consideration of my current obligations, I decided to place my work in the hands of a trustworthy individual or corporation capable of turning this business into a profitable conglomerate for everyone involved. I didn’t want to sit on this business and not allow it to take off due to current responsibility on my own behalf. I would, however, like to be compensated on the forefront in terms of what profit and return these original images could intentionally bring. All rights to graphics, images and photos (c/o ‘Memories and Beyond (Vintage & Stock Photography)’ current Website Owner and Photographer-Stephanie Sharp) will be released to the purchaser and new owner of my small business as well as all of the photo negatives and scanned digital images via CD-Rom (as well as all rights and privileges pertaining to) that I currently maintain to do with as the purchaser sees fit. This would, in turn, mean that all copyrights would be granted to that individual or corporation because they would rightfully be in possession of the photo negatives and digital images. The pictures are already digitally filed & categorized in accordance with the site (Address Labels, Magnets-Large Size Vertical, Magnets-Horizontal, etc.). These pictures were intended to be sold wholesale via site, On-line Auctions, picture.com, zazzle.com, shutterpoint.com, private sales, etc. If you feel that the site isn't worth the asking price, please make me a negotiable offer. My intentions were also, as the business grew, to incorporate some upcoming products such as Image Puzzles, Stationary, Screensaver Slideshows, Calendars and the FCS CD-ROM (Software that would allow consumers to take our images and create their own preferences of T-shirts, Post Cards and Greeting Cards). The site also offers a visitor guestbook that can be signed and viewed by onlookers as well as a page counter, proof links for postcards and product layout examples. My original intent, should the website have become profitable under my ownership, was to affiliate myself with a charity because I believe that every profitable foundation, industry, business, etc. should affiliate itself with some sort of charitable trust or aid organization because with what God has blessed us with, we should in turn share the blessings out of the goodness of our hearts. This is why I had wanted to establish myself with the Women & Children First Center Against Family Violence (A United Way Agency) that is located locally. The new owner can choose his own charity affiliation, but please make it an appoint to choose one. I have just recently opened my website up to accepting orders. I will continue growing my small business up until it is actually purchased by a new owner. I honestly believe that I have created a small jewel in the rough, and until someone of a higher and more profitable industry recognizes that, I will continue polishing it myself. Seller's payment instructions: The purchaser and myself will use www.escrow.com (a privately held company that is the leading provider of secure business and consumer transaction management on the Internet) to complete the transaction of the domain, image inventory (film and digital) and all rights pertaining to (unless of course the sale of the site is handled through e-Bay with the participation of Paypal). Money must be in escrow prior to submitting paperwork for transfer. In addition, this sale will be accompanied with a ‘General Bill of Sale’ to cover the sale of the site, being personal property of myself. Whenever you sell or buy any personal property from another person, you should document the transaction in writing. Using this form can avoid potential problems later. It can help both the Seller and Buyer to protect their rights and is useful to both for tax and other accounting purposes as well. A Bill of Sale can also help the Buyer prove that he/she owns the property.

Security is one of my major key factors. When you have taken years to develop your own product and have established a business selling that product, you tend to take second glances to security risks. The internet offers hundreds of original scripts that can be very beneficial in helping secure a personal and/or business website. Among some of the scripts that I have incorporated are that of securing a web page (disabling printing, saving or copying), disabling the Internet Explorer Image Toolbar witch enables viewers to print images directly off of the website and a source code encrypting script. This script will provide you with simple protection of the source of your web site (I currently do not have this code enforced). I have also incorporated the ‘no right-click’ script which disables a site viewer to save any text or images in this manner. What the viewer will see is an error message that reads: “Sorry that function is disabled. Contents & Graphics Copyright © Stephanie (Wright) SharpMemories&Beyond is not Public Domain, and should NOT be taken from this site.” Each bit of the script and source code information will be provided upon closing of site purchase. I had purchased some software entitled the ‘Professional Website Promoter’ (the Express Edition of AddWeb7) to help rank, evaluate and submit my website once my satisfaction had reached its peak and I was ready to begin accepting orders. According to the Georgia Institute of Technology, 88% of Internet users find new web sites through search engine listings. WebCMO data shows that in a side-by-side comparison of different forms of promotion, search engine listings are the number one way to generate traffic on websites. With this in mind, I purchased the promoter (which is included with the purchase of the site) once I had reached that certain state of satisfaction for this very reason. However, this software only submits the site for 'consideration'. At that point, one must sit back and wait... and hope. I had submitted the website via this software, then proceeded to run a rank report which I had recently ran twice within the past month (two weeks apart) to see my site’s average increase in link count, URL count, page count and position data in comparison to other sites. My average link count had doubled, and my average page count (engines % included) increased from 18.8% to 21.3% in a matter of a few days. Two printed ’Ranking Reports’ are attached per AddWeb strictly for comparable purposes. Tripod services also offers web statistics via a general summary and quick overview of the general statistics for the entire web site during the report time frame of Tripod‘s service. I joined Tripod’s web publishing service in January 26, 2004, so the report reflects that as time of first request. Tripod even breaks the report down from a monthly report to an hourly report. I have a full copy of each available report that can be sent to any inquirer via e-mail. If you are quite interested in this offer, please e-mail me and I can get all of the stats to you. My Web Statistics Report are provided by ‘Report Magic’. Also, upon closing, all of the image files, product formats, slideshow info, website maintenance and the main Trellix Program file will be promptly delivered. On page '9' of the website, there is a book offered for sale that was specifically authored and copywritten by me. The book is currently being published through a subsidy group called 'Dorrance Publishing' and is scheduled to be in print by '09. However, the book is currently offered in e-book format. The storyline is very interesting and I recommend anyone with an inquiring eye to take a peek. Simply log onto the site, click page 9-'Content Order Form & Book Offer' and follow instructions to purchase the book. Of course, upon completion of site purchase, this offer would be removed. Reviews of one of my many images entitled 'Thinking of You' can also be accessed through The Photographer's Workshop at http://www.thephotographersworkshop.com. Examples of the reviews are as follows: “The black and white is great, the girl is cute and seems as if in thought. I see that you used the rule of thirds. Great work and thanks for sharing.” Reviewer rated this photo as: “Such an innocent looking photo. Nicely done. It’s a great photo. Keep shooting. =)” Reviewer rated this photo as: “I love the shot, what a great place to take pictures. I love the pose of the girl, her little legs crossed is natural looking.” Reviewer rated this photo as:
