So now you have a website and need to advertise. Whats next?

There are many programs out there that allow you to advertise. However, keep in mind, anyone with access to the internet and an imagination can have a website up selling you advertising.

Just because you read it, does not mean it true. The fact is, most advertising offers are either scams or offer little return for the cost.

Many absolutely aweful websites offer banners for hundreds of dollars a month or general listing for $25 or more. In most cases, they will produce nothing.

You are better off adding an additional page to your own website than buying an ad in some other obsceure website. Your page will be indexed by the search engines and likely generate more traffic than the ad. Your page will also not expire or require you to pay it for renewal.

But don't worry, there are some good places out there with quality programs that can generate traffic for your business.

The best online advertising is Google Ad Words. You can buy traffic directly from the search engine for as littel as 5 cents per click.

But the reality of the situation is that you can use the same programs you use for advertising any business. Newspaper, TV, Radio, Bulk Mail and other common and inexpensive methods everyone is familiar with.

Just because your business is online does not mean you need advertising online. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. The same advertising methods you use to promote any business will apply to advertinging your website.

Make sure you get a cost effective conversion ratio and if thats the case, you have a good advertising medium.
